What to have ready
None of this is essential, and all of it makes the first conversation more useful:
- the borough and the neighbourhood
- whether it is a co op, a condo or a rental
- which floor, and whether the building has a service elevator
- roughly what you want done, and whether anything is moving
- your building's alteration agreement or house rules, if you already have them
What happens next
If it sounds like a job for us we arrange a visit. We measure, look at the access, check what we can see behind the walls, and ask what your building requires. After that you get a written scope broken into parts, with a price against each one.
The scope carries no obligation. If we are not the right firm for your job we would rather say so early.
